The 2020 BWF Digital Fundraising Survey - the moment “digital” became the #1 driver of participation
The 2020 BWF Digital Fundraising Survey was an eye opener. For the first time, digital channels (email, social media, online giving) overtook direct mail as the top driver of participation among those surveyed. At the same time, digital channels increased the already wide lead they had over traditional phone calling programs.
Now here’s the kicker - the survey was conducted in late 2019 - several months before COVD-19 forced us into an even more digitally-focused world. In other words, we had already made the digital transition. The pandemic only accelerated what was already underway.
